Celebrating Our 2026 DAISY Award Winner: Beth Saner

We are proud to announce Beth Saner as our 2026 DAISY Award winner. Selected from multiple nominations, Beth’s impact on both patients and students stood out in a truly meaningful way.

The DAISY Award honors nurses who go above and beyond in delivering compassionate care, and Beth embodies these qualities every day. Her dedication, kindness, and genuine empathy shine through in every interaction.

Beth was nominated multiple times, with both patients and students sharing powerful reflections of her work. One student described Beth as “very welcoming and thorough,” noting her commitment to teaching and her willingness to take the time to answer questions. The student also shared that Beth consistently demonstrated genuine care and compassion when working with patients, adding that she went “above and beyond” to create a positive, supportive learning environment—something not every student experiences.

Patients echoed these sentiments with simple yet powerful words: “awesome, caring, friendly.” But one nomination in particular captured just how far Beth’s compassion reaches.

A patient undergoing cancer treatment shared how overwhelmed and defeated they felt—until Beth stepped in. She took the time to sit with the patient as they cried, offering comfort, presence, and understanding. Because of Beth’s care, the patient said they felt stronger and more at peace. Her efforts didn’t stop there; she continued to go above and beyond to ensure the patient’s comfort, making them feel as though they were her only priority.

That level of attention, empathy, and dedication is what defines extraordinary nursing care.

Beth’s ability to connect, whether with a patient in need or a student learning the profession, reflects the very best of what nursing should be. She leads with kindness, teaches with intention, and cares with her whole heart.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Beth as part of our team. Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved recognition as our 2026 DAISY Award winner.
