Davis County Hospital Foundation's Annual Golf Tournament

Davis County Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Xpedition Powered Stair Chair

On Sunday, September 7, the Davis County Hospital Foundation hosted its Annual Golf Tournament, bringing together community members, businesses, and supporters for a day of fun, camaraderie, and giving back.

This year’s tournament was held in honor of Tom Juhl, with special recognition of Dona Goettsche for her lasting contributions to the Foundation and community. Their dedication and impact continue to inspire the mission of improving healthcare for all in Davis County.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, players, and volunteers, the event successfully raised funds to purchase a Stryker Xpedition Powered Stair Chair—a vital piece of equipment that will enhance patient care and caregiver safety.

About the Xpedition Powered Stair Chair

The Stryker Xpedition is designed to improve both patient comfort and caregiver safety when navigating stairs and challenging environments.

Integrates with workflow:

  • Maintains the same folded storage footprint as the Stryker Stair-PRO while increasing seat width to accommodate more patients.

  • Features an intuitive interface with backlit buttons, bright lights, and customizable speed options.

  • Shares a universal lithium-ion battery with the Power-PRO 2 powered ambulance cot for seamless use.

Designed for increased safety:

  • Reduces patient tip-back on stairs, paired with Stryker’s containment system for improved physical and psychological safety.

  • Powered track technology allows caregivers to move patients ergonomically and safely, reducing the risk of injury and fatigue.

  • Integrated head and foot lights enhance visibility in all environments.

Enhances the care experience:

  • Large wheels for smooth navigation across various terrains.

  • Flexible belt conforms to stairs for traction and helps protect staircases from damage.

  • Improved track clearance allows easy movement over obstacles and transitions.
